The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is gearing up to launch its IT City project, with construction slated to begin next month. This expansive development, covering 2,858 acres, will incorporate ten thoughtfully designed sectors, strategically positioned between Sultanpur Road and Kisan Path.
A core focus of the project is meticulous planning and robust infrastructure, particularly in terms of road networks. Prathamesh Kumar, the LDA’s vice chairperson, noted the successful adoption of a land pooling system, which is anticipated to keep the project on track. To date, 39 landowners across five villages have contributed around 186 acres through this cooperative model. A recent agreement also secured an additional 12 acres from a single landowner via the same land pooling approach.
Directives have been issued to Navneet Sharma, the LDA’s chief engineer, to commence building a network of grid roads next month. These roads will vary in width, measuring 45m, 30m, 24m, and 18m.
To ensure efficient progress and ongoing engagement with local farmers, a dedicated site office is being established in Mohari Khurd village. This office will be staffed by a team including two deputy tehsildars and two revenue officials. Land acquisition for the project will encompass several villages, such as Bakkas, Sonai Kanjehra, Sikandarpur Amoliya, Siddhpura, Parehta, Pahadnagar Tikriya, Rakibabad, Mohari Khurd, Khujouli, and Bhatwara. The site’s convenient access to the Sultanpur National Highway and Kisan Path significantly enhances its development potential.
The IT City is projected to feature approximately 5,000 residential plots, with sizes ranging from 72 to 200 square meters. Larger land parcels are also earmarked for group housing initiatives. The master plan designates substantial areas for economic activities, allocating around 445.65 acres for industrial zones and 260 acres for commercial ventures. Furthermore, the project emphasizes environmental integration, including a 200-acre green belt that will house a golf course and a 15-acre water body designed to enhance the development’s natural appeal.
